Insurance and Finance Marketing

The Speedie Consulting Blog

New Website Content Service Launched

A new service launches today that offers those in the finance and insurance sector a constant stream of content for their websites, blogs, and newsletters. Many websites lack content and this is one of that major keys to driving more traffic and business on the Internet.

This new limited subscription service provides a range of monthly articles which can be used by insurance and mortgage brokers, and financial advisers to populate their websites with quality content which in turn will help generate more traffic.

Jason Hulott, director of Speedie Consultants, the finance and insurance content provider, says: “The new website service is a fantastic way for the small broker to level the playing field and be able to compete online. By leveraging a limited membership and an online delivery system we are able to reduce the individual cost to the broker.”

He adds: “We are excited about this new service as it means that we can now provide our content service to a larger number of companies who want to drive more business to their website. This service allows companies to add quality content however they like. It also provides them with enough content to build a blog or provide a newsletter for their clients.”

The membership - which is open to 50 clients only in order to keep the content exclusive - comes complete with several marketing and promotion guides.

Mortgage Brokers urged to diverisfy

An article in the latest IFAOnline says that mortgage brokers should diversify if they want to survive….

Paul Rignall, mortgage manager at Positive Solutions, says firms need to increase the value of their business by offering complimentary services and advice.

“Over the last few years advisers may have been focusing purely on the mortgage deal, but they now need to look at the wider issues that surround it,” says Rignall.

“We know that the population generally is underinsured, so advisers need to get back to basics, making sure that the public is aware of why insurance such as life cover is necessary not just to safeguard the mortgage, but to cover the family as well.”

I couldn’t agree more, yet most brokers will not think to add these products and services to their current website and promote that.  It is much easier and lower cost proposition to drive clients and prospects to a single web baseddestination with multiple product offerings and information.

Mortgage and Insurance brokers need to diversify yes, but embrace and use technology to do it

Range of Financial Calculators

One of the things we decided to do this year was focus on our content provision.  While the article side of the business is going very well, we decided to branch out and provide some interactive tools to clients that were straight out of the box.

We are in the final throes of launching a set of javascript calculators that provide simple cut and paste code so Finance and Insurance websites can add these to their websites and have more user interaction.

I think these are going to be a great addition to any website and allowing companies to full brand them so they look like there own.  You won’t even have to accredit us with them.

I am hoping these will be live by the end of this month when we will be launching a multiple marketing strategy which I am excited about as we always talk about doing on but never get round to it.

Sound familiar?

I’ll be sharing the results of the marketing here and maybe even provide a blueprint - If it is as successful as we think.

We will also be upgrading our ImportCSV plugin for Wordpress to a fully paid for product.  The new version will allow anyone to add a huge amount of timestamped content to their websites, so you can import whole RSS feeds from Affiliate Programmes and drip feed them into a blog.   How cool is that?  SOme of these feeds can have thousands of products so you can have a lively looking blog with new content being added every day - automatically.

You can read more about the new plugin features here Import CSV Pro

How to become an Authority Site on Google

There was an interssting little third page article in this months Netmag that was very interesting. Basically it provided 5 tips to help become an authority site in google.

Now one thing I loved about these tips is that 4 out of 5 of these tips were content related. I’m not going to reprint the whole thing here but they were:

  1. Add intelligent and interesting content
  2. Adding more pages to increase your search engine site saturation
  3. Offer Industry News
  4. Have various authors if you wan to get listed in google news as a news source

The last one was adding links but again this was linked to having good quality content that other sites want to link to.

If you want to have more chance of becoming an authority site in google and reap the extra benefits of traffic and ranking then adding more content seems to be the key.  If you can’t manage that content internally then drop us a line and we can provide you with a free finance content or insurance content analysis report and checklist on what content you should be adding to your website.
