Creating Content Fast

One thing we constantly ask clients to do is to produce or outsource content (as a content agency we love to do this for clients). But in some cases adding additional content in the clients voice is sometimes required, as they don’t have the budget to outsource it.

With the smaller business, where the owner has more than one hat on, it can become difficult to fit content into the daily or even weekly routine.

We recently came across a service called Trint (www.trint.com) which allows you to upload an audio file and the system transcribes it for you and creates an editable version online which you can then amend, adjust and then export to Microsoft Word.

The beauty of this over other voice based solutions such as Dragon Speak is that you can simply record anywhere, then upload it and the system takes care of the rest.  You don’t have to stop and start and check if it has caught up with you.  You just speak.

For on the go busy owner / manager this can be great way to easily, and I mean easily, add content to your website.  Depending on the quality of the audio you can you even upload the audio version as a podcast getting two uses out of the same piece of content.  Another huge win!

For content creators and other marketing types, this can be a great way to start a piece of content and have the back of it broken for you so you can record on the commute to work, on the treadmill at the gym, in fact just about anywhere.

You can use any smartphone to record audio these days.  I used audio notes on my iPhone and then uploaded it to Trint and it did the rest. Fast!  By the time I would have hired and sent a file to a freelancer, it was already done.

I produced a 600 word article in around 4 minutes, with very few amends to the text.
