Our Top 10 Automation Tools

By Jason Hulott

The web is a fantastic tool for doing a huge range of things but at some point you have to admit that you can’t do it all. Now there are a large number of tools to help you get some of the heavy lifting done. We employ lots of different pieces of software to manage some of these services for ourselves and for some of our clients. In this way, we can leave this to run itself and it keeps us consistent while we get on and do even more!

Here are our top 10 tools…

Software tool to create your own robots to automate nearly anything. Visit the site to watch free videos on how to automate some useful marketing tasks. You can even create bots and run standalone that you can sell as your own products.

Allows you to automate messages to our twitter account or range of twitter accounts with prewritten and preloaded messages. Allows you to drip feed in a huge range of different messages including link of the day, site of the day, quote of the day, that kind of thing. Also manages your twitter followers by responding with welcome messages on following. Can manage multiple twitter accounts from the same control panel.

Twitter friend finder and adder based on keyword. Great way to supplement building your follower base. Can run multiple accounts at the same time looking for followers? Only downside is that it runs on your PC so your PC needs to be on for this to work. Therefore it can only work when you do, but it still saves you a bunch of time.

List building and autoresponder system. Allows you to create web forms to caputure user information or enquiry information and then auto reply with email that can incluue any number of attachments. Runs on the web so works for you 24 /7 without your input. Use to deliver brochures and responses to requests. Or use it to deliver training courses with sequential messaging. You can pre write and preupload weeks worth of content.

Wordpress has a huge number of entries all to itself as there are a range of plugins that can really help automate some of your marketing activity. This is great as it will keep you consistent.
