5 WordPress Plugins for Affiliates

By Jason Hulott | Affiliate Marketing

Here are a number of WordPress plugins you can use to drive more traffic to your affiliate offers while maintaining your sites core purpose of promoting your own products and services.

The first is a great plugin to use if you want to promote amazon products on your website. AAWP gives you a huge number of options to display and who products on your website.

You can use this to run sidebar ads, drop actual product info with links into blog posts and reviews. You can run comparison tables and grids all from within WordPress. Having more integrated affiliate offers make them more clickable from your site.

Gravity Forms

Gravity forms in without doubt the bets form plugin we have used for WordPress. We love it and recommend all our clients use it as it provides a huge amount of additional functionality beyond simply being a form tool.

You can run calculators with it, use conditional logic to drive people to different pages on the site. You can use it as a way to crate onsite quizzes and surveys which can then be used to drive people to relevant affiliate offers if they don’t meet the criteria to work with you directly.

Optimonk is a shopping cart and site abandonment plugin. Basically it delivers a pop up if the users tries to leave the site or close down the window. Now this popup can be an offer to get them to buy from you (usually a discount code) or it can be a popup with an affiliate offer in it. This can be a great way to catch traffic as it leaves your site and have one last chance at converting them.

wpDatatables is a great plugin to help you create tables of affiliate offers and if you have comparable data, you can use the plugin to allow people to sort and compare based on their chosen options. In a way, this means you can build a comparison site. And we know how much people love comparing stuff.

Having the ability compare on your site can be a great traffic driver to help attract links and users. So a win win win.

Thirsty Affiliates

Tracking and stats is one of the best ways of staying motivated and finding out how well your offers are working. Without this, it can be hard to keep logging in and out of all your different offers platforms. In this way, you can see what traffic you are driving. ThirstyAffiliates is a great plugin to manage all your affiliate links on your site. It also allows you to cloak them so they are branded as your website url. This can make it easier to share.

Simply taking code provided to you by your affiliate manager can be easy but to really get a head you need to find ways to get the offers embedded into the parts of the site you want them. With WordPress, these plugins help you create ways of doing that. Not all might be suitable for your site or processes.
