Why you should send a monthly email newsletter

One thing of the main activities we suggest all clients do is look for the quick wins in their business – and one of the quickest is to ensure they use their email database.

An easy and consistent way to do this is by creating and sending a monthly email newsletter.

There are plenty of templates available as well as email database management tools.

Newsletter Management Tools

There are a number of tools on the market. If you are using WordPress as a website management system, we recommend you look at Mailchimp, Active Campaign or GetResponse as these have integration plugins to help you grow your database.

By simply investing some time and a small amount of money, you can have a system to send monthly messages that:

  • nurture your clients, and
  • offer new products to those that haven’t bought from you.

Benefits of sending a monthly newsletter

  • Keep in touch with customers
  • Stay in front of mind each month to give you an advantage at renewal time
  • Offer new or cross sell products
  • Drive readers back to your website or blog to consume more content
  • Test new products before adding them to your website
  • Offer other products related to your customer base but not on your website.

If you are posting regular content to your blog you can use this as the core part of your newsletter content, then simply have a main focus or offer to give them a reason to open and keep opening your emails.

In this way, you can keep your customers and subscribers up to date with your business. It can also be a great way to generate new enquiries each month or sales without having to spend money trying to drive new customers into your business. Consider offering subscriber only offers or refer a friend or find other incentives to get newsletter signups.
